We are a well-established and reputable solicitors’ firm with a strong commitment to providing high-quality legal services to our clients. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Personal Injury / Medical Negligence Fee Earner to join our busy and expanding team.
The role
The successful candidate will manage their own caseload of claimant personal injury and/or clinical negligence matters from initial instruction through to settlement.
The role requires strong client care skills, attention to detail, and the ability to progress files efficiently while maintaining excellent service standards.
Key responsibilities
- Managing a caseload of Personal Injury and/or Clinical Negligence claims
- Handling matters from initial instruction to conclusion
- Assisting the Solicitor in drafting legal documents including letters of claim, claims notification forms, witness statements, schedules of loss, and court documents
- Liaising with clients, medical experts, counsel, insurers, and third parties
- Conducting liability and quantum investigations
- Complying with Civil Procedure Rules and relevant protocols
- Maintaining accurate file management and case progression
- Achieving agreed billing and performance targets
Requirements
- Previous experience handling Personal Injury and/or Clinical Negligence claims
- Ability to manage a caseload independently
- Strong knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules and Pre-Action Protocols
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- Good organisational and time management abilities
Desirable
- Experienced Fee Earner/Paralegal
- Experience dealing with multi-track claims
- Experience in negotiation and settlement of claims
